About Me:  I was a child who loved all things that spoke of the earth and sea. I grew up near the Pacific coast in Southern California in the 60's and 70's, where life was rather simple, ever joyful and embracingly artsy. By artsy, I mean my sister and I were continually exposed to all things colorful, natural and imaginative. Long hours we spent dressing up our back yard, turning our green grass into shell-covered beaches, digging a cave or two for hiding, and even transforming a neighbors gold fish pond into "chocolate milk" for the sake of exploration.  During our early childhood, we mixed up warm scented candles filled with tiny sea shells in our garage craft shop, and carefully painted found
beach stones, polished smooth by the endlessly crashing surf in an assortment of colors, which we put up for sale at our long driveway's edge.

Photo: No, this is not me . . . sweet though!

All this early childhood exploration, creation and appreciation for beauty both created and natural has inspired in me a vivid imagination. My degree in teaching has afforded me a day-to-day opportunity to play just like a child, see the world through unfiltered eyes, and get back to the basics of simple living. I still to this day, love fantasizing about things that happened decades ago. I simply adore
lurking around old barns, and discovering old dusty things that have hidden meanings, special treasures which have been left alone for long periods of time, waiting for me to re-discover.

For this reason, I seek to share and learn more about yesterday's vintage finds, inspiration and
history. I love finding new ways our modern lifestyles can celebrate and embrace times past, passing down these gifts to future generations to appreciate and cherish. I will blog to my heart's content, for as long as anyone will listen . . . about all things vintage!

Now please remember . . .  this is a little home-spun blog.  I will be both content writer, editor and
researcher. Be patient with my pace, as it may be a bit slow . . .  I like to take my sweet time actively finding and exploring topics of interest for my readers and getting your thoughts as well! My hopes are that yesterday's vintage living can be incorporated into today's modern lifestyles, and passed on to future generations. This is especially true as we are going to be adding in some truly modern flavors.

Are you ready to come along on this vintage finds adventure?
